Convention Schedule: Friday Evening - Registration, Director’s meeting and a social/open bar at “The Edge” which is located next to the convention hotel.
Saturday Morning - General session of the Montana Back Country Horsemen. Saturday Afternoon - Presentation by Brad Powell and workshops. Saturday Evening - Social Hour, banquet at the Holiday Inn and dancing at the Eagles. Sunday Morning - Non-denominational church service, presentation by Chris Smith, and the final general session of the Montana BCH.

Vendor Displays: The vendor area will include a variety of quality vendors who will demonstrate their goods and provide convention savings. The vendor area will be open on Saturday and Sunday Morning.
Raffle Three raffle prizes are being offered. The first winner has the first choice among the prizes, and the second winner has the second choice among the prizes. The raffle tickets are only $2.00 or three tickets for $5.00. You need not be present to win. BCH club presidents will be sent tickets and additional tickets will be sold at the convention.
A trip to the 2003 National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada This prize includes two plaza tickets to the first Sunday night of the 2003 National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada from Bob Thane Productions and $650 towards expenses.
Custom Western Hat This prize includes a $450 custom western hat and hat can from the Double Custom Hat Company in Darby Montana.
Bed and Breakfast Escape for Two This prize includes a one night stay at the Deer Crossing Bed and Breakfast near Hamilton Montana, a guided fishing or sight seeing float trip on the Bitterroot River provided by licensed guide Fred Weisbecker, and dinner for two at the Homestead Restaurant.
Silent Auction Silent auction bid items will be displayed at the convention. There will be a variety of items provided by Bitterroot Valley merchants where the proceeds will be used to offset some of the convention expenses. A number of items will be provided by the BCH chapters in Montana. The proceeds from these items will go to the Montana Back Country Horsemen to support state projects and activities.
Photography Contest
The photo contest will have four categories; Wildlife/Domestic Animals, Candid Camera, Scenic Views and Back Country Horsemen at Work. Each club may submit a maximum of 2 entries per category. No previous entries in a Montana BCH photo contest will be accepted. Judging at the convention will be done by delegates. Photos must be 5x7, dry mounted or matted. Photos must have been taken by a member of a Montana chapter of BCH. Identification of category, photographer and club must be placed on the back of the photo. All entries must be postmarked no later than March 10, 2003. Entries will also be accepted on Friday at the registration table. Judging will be done on Saturday and winners will be announced and prizes awarded at the banquet.
