6/9/08 Update by
Colleen Long
Just
thought I'd let you know construction workers/trucks have begun repairing Lost
Horse Road. I encountered them today on my way out after a wonderful ride. Lots
of activity on the road with heavy equipment and stoppage delays. You may want
to avoid the area for awhile.

Coyote Coulee - Open
Larry Creek - Open
Fred Burr - Open
Calf Creek - Open
Como - Open to inlet bridge (??)
Mill Creek - According to the Ravalli Republic, May 11th edition the
Mill Creek Trail was damaged extensively by an irrigation leak. Although there
is a temporary trail circumventing the damaged area, the Forest Service is
requesting that stock users refrain from using the trail until further notice.
Also... given the nature of the recent weather, it should be assumed that
trails leading into the back country (and fore-country trails for that
matter) may have received additional snow accumulation, excess rains (which
could cause slippery/deceptive footing) and/or wind damage causing snags across
the trail. Please use caution and common sense as you endeavor to enjoy the
outdoors this Spring. And let us know how the trails you are visiting are
holding up.
Thanks to Karen Philips and Colleen Long for their trail update
contributions this week.
