Local Trail Descriptions - basic info from a rider's point of view
This is a document in progress. Our chapter has put together some information about what's available in our area, including general location and difficulty as determined by other stock users.

Directions to Trailheads/Campgrounds
Wondering how to get to some of those trails you've heard of? This is just the start of a good thing. If you would like to provide directions to locations not already listed, email them to npollman20@aol.com.

TRAIL INFORMATION ON OTHER WEBSITES

www.BitterrootTrails.info
This is an excellent site being created by one of our members, Earl Philips. It is a work-in-progress, with plans to have detailed information about many of the trails in our area. The site already contains information and links re: the Bitterroot Valley, National Forests, Trail Etiquette, and our chapter of the BCH.

The Wilderness Institute (part of the University of Montana) and MyTopo partnered to create satellite imagery and topographic map layers to be accessed by anyone for all wilderness areas. Once on the map, zoom into a wilderness area and click on the topo button to switch to the topo map view.
