August 9 & 10: Cut Out
Alpine Trail #7 (Swan
Range)

Access:
At junction of HWY #35 & #83 (which is apx. 2 mi. N of
Bigfork) turn East onto HWY #83 (Little Brown Church on left
Exxon on right) continue on 83S to approx. Mile marker 73(across
from the gas station, before reaching the village of Swan
Lake). Turn left onto Six Mile Road and follow dirt road
approx. 3 miles to trailhead.

Facilities: Parking at Six Mile trailhead.

Description: Begin clearing up Six
mile Trail onto the Alpine Trail #7 to Trinkus Lake and Cabin.
Stay at Trinkus cabin on Saturday night and continue Sunday
south on Alpine Trail to Crevis Lake. We will need chain saws,
packhorses, camping gear and supplies for two days and most
likely one night.

Please note: The Alpine project volunteers
will need to get together to plan meals and personal equipment
to take this overnight (and possibly two nights) depending on
how much downfall we encounter on the Alpine Trail.
